Inauguration of Grade R-3 Hostel
The construction of this hostel was made possible with the generous assistance from the Maximum Profit Recovery.
The president of organisation couldn’t be present at the inaugural ceremony, but a second event will be held for the thanks giving.
Coen Cloete, in his welcome address thanked Maximum Profit Recovery for the financial support for the construction of the hostel. The ground workers and farm manager, Schalk Coetzee were also praised for their involvement and completion of the successful project.
The project is an initiative of Miss Ilonka Jonker, the assistant head of the hostel. She was the guiding force to have the hostel build. Mr Cloete also extended his appreciation to her dedication to the project. Edendale would like to thank Marone Ackermann for mediating the processes between the school and Maximum Profit Recovery. Great appreciation is also extended to Rene Grobler who was the contractor.
Lastly, Mrs
Maphefo Makgoba was announced as the hostel guardian. She was jubilant and
eager for the future role of overseeing operations and care of the children. We
look forward to the hosting of many children at the Foundation Phase Hostel in
time to come!
